One-way perspective glass (also known as: one-way mirror, single-reflective glass, double-sided mirror, one-way glass) is a kind of glass with a high reflectivity for visible light.
When using one-way perspective glass, the reflective surface (mirror) must be facing the light or facing the outdoor side. When the outdoor is brighter than the indoor, the one-way perspective glass is similar to an ordinary mirror. The outdoor scene cannot be seen indoors, but the outdoor scene can be seen clearly indoors. When the outdoor is darker than the indoor, the outdoor scene can be seen indoors, and the indoor scene can also be seen outdoor. The clarity depends on the intensity of outdoor illumination.
Installation of One-way perspective glass:
1.One-way perspective glass is divided into front and back sides. The front side is a glass mirror surface, which is used to reflect light. When installing, the front side should be facing the monitored room (i.e.: the space to be observed, such as the space where the suspect is located); the back side should be facing the position of the judge (i.e.: the monitoring room).
2.The light intensity of the monitored room should ensure sufficient brightness. The brighter and stronger the light in the monitored room, the more obvious the one-way perspective effect of the glass.
3.In order to achieve the best one-way perspective performance of the glass, in principle, no ceiling lights are installed in the monitoring room, and no other light sources are allowed. If there is a window next to the monitoring room, opaque curtains must be installed, such as sealed curtains used in hotels. When using, it is recommended to turn off all lights in the monitoring room.
4.If lights must be used in the monitoring room, it is recommended to use point lights, such as writing desk lamps (lampshades are opaque) to reduce the range of light, and control the lighting ratio between the monitoring room and the monitored room to 1:3, or a lower ratio, to ensure that the one-way perspective performance of the glass is intact. Note: The light cannot be installed directly behind the glass to prevent the image of the person in the monitoring room from being reflected on the glass surface.
5.In order to enhance the overall reflectivity of the one-way glass, it is recommended to install spotlights above or below the glass mirror to enhance the overall reflectivity of the glass mirror and enhance the one-way perspective effect of the glass.
6.The actual distance between the monitored person and the one-way perspective glass should be kept at ≥1 meter.
7. One-way perspective glass is a special glass. During installation, care must be taken to protect the glass mirror surface. Once the mirror surface is damaged, it cannot be repaired.
Application of One-way perspective glass:
(1) Widely used in prisons, police stations, interrogation rooms, high people's courts, interrogation rooms of public security and judicial institutions, psychiatric hospitals, university scientific research institutes, school conference rooms, kindergartens, large conference rooms, offices, etc. With certain lighting effects, it can achieve a one-way perspective effect where the outside cannot see inside, and the inside can clearly see outside. After special treatment by the research department, the product also has explosion-proof and sound insulation effects.
(2) In order to enhance the overall reflectivity of the one-way perspective of the one-way perspective glass, it is recommended to evenly install three to four 100W-150W spotlights (white, i.e. colorless) above the glass, and shoot at the middle of the glass mirror surface at a 45-degree angle to enhance the overall reflectivity of the glass mirror surface and enhance the one-way perspective effect of the glass.
Precautions of Using
One-way perspective glass is a special glass. During installation, care must be taken to protect the glass mirror surface. Once the mirror surface is damaged, it cannot be repaired. The new safety one-way perspective glass has overcome this shortcoming and has the characteristics of scratch resistance and corrosion resistance.
